Mooloolaba Laundry Attendant

Location:
Mooloolaba

Job Overview

We are hiring a Laundry Attendant and Cleaner to join our team at our childcare centre in Mooloolaba.

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be expected to wash, dry, and fold children’s sheets and equipment.

You will be also responsible for sorting the laundry by colour shades and materials and following correct hygiene procedures and attending to soiled items as required and implementing stain removal procedures to remove stains if needed.

You should have previous experience and exceptional knowledge of laundry procedures and various laundry techniques.

You should maintain and update the records of the laundry belongings, maintain a tidy laundry area and inventory of linens and cleaning products.

You will be required to keep the area tidy including wiping washing machines, dryers and sinks. Rinsing laundry baskets and sweeping floors.

You should be able to work independently and efficiently. Your goal is to provide excellent laundry service to the centre.

You will be required to complete various cleaning tasks as instructed on a daily basis.

The position is Monday to Friday from 1.00pm to 6.00pm daily.

The successful candidate must hold a current blue card/ working with children check or be willing to obtain one at your own expense.

Mooloolaba Assistant Director

You will work closely with the centre manager and administration assistant to execute daily operations.

As well as being an organisational whizz the Assistant Director will support the Centre Director and act as an extension of the Evolution Early Learning brand. Using your exceptionally high standards of customer service, you will provide a warm welcome to families and have the ability to develop positive rapport with new and existing centre families and contribute to the continuous improvement of the centre’s performance.

Responsibilities

●  Provide direct assistance and support and organisation schedules to the centre manager

●  You will be required to act as the second in charge in the absence of the centre director.

●  Management of family accounts using the Xplor childcare administration software

●  Maintain and manage staff, child, and family records in accordance with policies and guidelines

●  Manage filing and centre records using digital platforms

●  Manage weekly tours for new families for Director, conduct new family enrolments, follow up enquiries, manage waitlist efficiently.

●  Monitoring and managing centre occupancy weekly

●  Manage daily casual and permanent spaces to maximise occupancy

●  Managing of family accounts with a high level of knowledge of childcare subsidy, rebates, and processes to assist families with payment of fees

●  Debt Management

●  Receiving, receipting, banking of fees, marking roles, monitoring of petty cash,  

●  Supporting centre director in rosters and approval and monitoring of staff hours

●  Manage staff files and support the centre manager in onboarding procedures of staff including staff schedules, qualifications, and records for regulatory authority.

●  Management of staff onboarding and departure procedures- ie Ordering of staff uniforms, management of keys, security dongles, locker keys etc

●  Supporting staff as directed

●  Analysing and collating data as required.

●  Work with the centre manager and assistant director to mentor and support the centre to Exceed the National Quality Standards

●  Answering phones, emails, meet and greet and providing support to families

●  Ensuing the customer journey is always smooth positive and seamless

●  Support the Centre Manager to maintain effective and open communication with families

●  Liaise with existing and new families with respect, develop trust & maintain confidentiality

●  Conduct regular audits of children’s electronic and hard file records to ensure all details are current and correct

●  Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes

●  Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the organisation to help facilitate smooth business operations

●  Manage schedules and deadlines

●  Ordering and Monitoring inventory of office supplies and centre consumables and the purchasing of new materials with attention to budgetary constraints

●  Oversee facilities services, maintenance activities and tradespersons (e.g electricians) as directed by the owner or centre manager

●  Approving invoices for payment of outside contractors

●  Support and ensure centre operations adhere to policies and regulations

●  Responsible for the supervision and onboarding of students on placement

●  WHS implementation and support

●  Support emergency evacuation procedures with centre director

●  Weekly Reporting to centre owner and performing administrative tasks as directed by owner

 

Requirements

●  Proven experience as an Assistant Director in a childcare environment

●  Ability to work in a busy fast paced environment / Large service

●  Experience in the use of Xplor childcare administration software essential

●  In-depth understanding of office management [link removed] procedures and implementation of centre policies

●  Understanding and knowledge of childcare subsidy requirements

●  Familiarity with financial and facilities management principles

●  Proficient in MS Office

●  Proficient in digital platforms and organisational systems

●  An analytical mind with problem-solving skills

●  Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

●  Proven customer service experience

●  A team player with leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work in team/cooperative situation.

●  A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification

●  Current Senior first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training)

 Preparation of daily meals (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) for all children - children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years along with breakfast and late snacks as required.

 Providing restaurant-quality presentation is a MUST
